This will cover THE best coaches of all time in my opinion, and I am pretty sure that you will agree, mostly because I'm not just putting in favorites I am actually putting some effort into this!
From Coach K to Bob Knight all these men are fearless and never give up, the deserve all the thanks from all the fans and haters weather you like them or not they are the BEST OF THE BEST!
Coach Bobby Knight
The BEST of the BEST. Bob Knight is arguably the best coach of all time with the most wins in basketball history with a record of 902-371. This man had winning in his blood.
2008 was his last season as a coach with Texas Tech and he is now a ESPN sports analyst.
Coach Dean Smith
My favorite coach of all time. Like Roy Williams this man didn't know the definition of the word quit or lose. He played at Kansas in his college career then started his coaching career at Air Force from 1955-1958.
Then moving to UNC as assistant coach from 1958-1961, then moving on to Head Coach from 1961-1997 when he retired. Winning two National Championships 13 ACC championships.
He holds second most wins in NCAA history with a record of 879-254 behind Bob Knight.
Coach Pat Summit
The woman of my list and let me tell you this woman can COACH! She has been coaching at the University of Tennessee for the Lady Vols since 1974 and has won eight National Championships.
Coach Jimmy Valvano "Jimmy V"
Head coach at North Carolina State University 1980-1990. This man was very devoted when he played at Rutgers and even more when he started coaching for NCSU.
He won the 1983 and 1987 ACC championship and in 83 he won the NCAA National Championship.
Coach Roy Williams
This man is just as competitive as Krzyzewski in my opinion even more. This man DOES NOT like to lose. He doesn't know the definition of that word. He strives for greatness and is guaranteed a spot in the Hall of Fame.
Coach Mike Krzyzewski
A very determined man indeed, Coach K as many refer to him is nothing but one of the best and thats his motto "Win Win Win no matter what it takes."
Not only that but he disciplines his players very well.
