Northern Illinois Football Reacts to BCS Bowl Bid with Epic Celebration

While haters continue to hate, Northern Illinois football players continue to pick up oranges off the ground.

This video, spotted by Yahoo! Sports, features the No. 15 Northern Illinois Huskies as they hear for the first time they are officially accepted into the BCS and will play No. 12 Florida State in the Orange Bowl on New Year's Day.

It's pretty much what you would expect from a small program that has hardly been given a great deal of respect this season.

Such will be their plight for the next month as they prepare for the Seminoles.

Nobody is giving them any shot and continue to call out the BCS matchup as a farce. How could a team that lost to Iowa be matched up against an ACC powerhouse?

Well, how can you really be shocked at yet another BCS controversy? Around this time every year, we are hit with the latest BCS debate that has most frustrated well after the start of the new year.

These kids have done what the BCS asked of them, going 12-1 on the season and beating No. 17 Kent State for the conference title.

So we applaud them for getting into the BCS and also managing to rile up the nation, which hasn't accepted that we are just going to have controversy no matter who is playing.

Instead of getting grumpy, sit back and watch some hard-working kids celebrate and toss some oranges around.
