Atlanta Falcons vs. Carolina Panthers Preview and Predictions

Michael Schottey@SchotteyNFL National Lead WriterDecember 3, 2012

The Carolina Panthers look to play spoiler in Week 14 as they host Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons.

The Falcons (11-1) have been doubted by just about everyone (including this columnist) all season as the racked up win after win against inferior competition. Now, as they continue to march toward the NFC's number one seed, it's more-and-more difficult to doubt them with every win. After the Panthers, they're facing their biggest three-game stretch to finish the season, so a win in Week 14 would be a perfect way to set the table.

The Panthers (3-9), on the other hand, are doing their best to save Coach Ron Rivera's job as his defense has been pretty terrible in his first two seasons at the helm. Once a bright young defensive mind, he can't seem to buy a stop with Carolina. Cam Newton has taken a lot of flak and his attitude may have garnered more negative attention than his play, but it's his teammates letting him down, not vice-versa.

So, who wins in Week 14? Josh Zerkle, Evan Adrian and I give you our thoughts in the video above. Leave us yours in the comments below.
