In his introductory press conference on Nov. 30, 1988, Kansas State coach Bill Snyder spoke about opportunity. Twenty-four years ago, a 49-year-old first-year coach knew he had the opportunity to orchestrate the greatest turnaround in college football history in the wake of futility. He succeeded. And after a brief retirement stint and minor shortcomings along the way, Snyder, now 73, has the opportunity to do it again.
