Phillies Plan to Non-Tender Nate Schierholtz

The Phillies won't tender a contract to arbitration-eligible outfielder Nate Schierholtz, making him a free agent, Jerry Crasnick of ESPN.com reported Friday. Schierholtz, 28, hit .257/.321/.407 in 114 games between the Giants and Phillies in 2012. The Phillies acquired as part of the deadline deal that sent Hunter Pence to San Francisco.
