SF Giants Open to Long-Term Deal with Buster Posey

In a brief conference call, general manager Brian Sabean just said the Giants would consider signing National League Most Valuable Player Buster Posey to a long-term deal that would provide cost-certainty for the organization and security for the catcher.

“We’ve visited it internally,” Sabean said. “We are open to the idea. He certainly deserves that consideration.”
