David Wright Reportedly Signs Richest Deal in Mets History

Superstar third baseman David Wright has reportedly re-signed with the New York Mets as first reported by WFAN's Ed Coleman.

David Wright agreed to the Mets deal, reported Ed Coleman on @wfan660 in NY. had been said here to be a $140M offer.

The deal's figures make Wright the highest paid Met in the club's history. At $138 million over eight years, the deal just barely tops that of Johan Santana, who signed for $137.5 million in 2008.
