The Gold Standard Wants More Gold

As we all know by now, Shelton Benjamin lost his U.S. Title to M.V.P on the 500th episode of Smackdown. This will give M.V.P a push, once again, to the mid-card level of the wrestling world.

My prediction is that Benjamin will go on to win the Money In The Bank Ladder Match. I then foresee him going on to win the World Title from the winner of the Show-Cena-Edge match that night at WM 25.

This would finally give "The Gold Standard" the Gold he deserves.

Ever since 2002, when Benjamin came to WWE as part of The Worlds Greatest Tag Team with Charlie Hass, Benjamin has been one of the best performers on the roster. From joining up with Kurt Angle, to winning the IC Title, Benjamin has consistently stolen the show with his outstanding athleticism.

Who could forget last year's MITB match when Benjamin went off the top of a ladder and broke another ladder in half. For anyone who says they know how to fall, watch WrestleMania 24 and tell me that again.

If Benjamin does get this push he will have to get better on the mic, and at cutting promo's.

His last big push was courtesy of HHH. Benjamin beat him a countless number of times in a phenomenal series of matches. As WWE's new franchise player, he could possibly face HBK after WM to push him over the top. The two already have had one of the best matches in recent Raw memory.

Currently, I don't like WWE having Benjamin team with Mark Henry as a heel.
