There is no better way to build some gambling momentum going into the Sunday slate than hitting big on the Thursday Night Football contest.

In Week 13, we have the highly anticipated rematch between the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints, which promises to be one of the more exciting weekday games of the season.

If you are up for making it a bit more thrilling and throwing down some friendly wagers, here’s our opinion on how to lean on the point spread and over/under bets.

Point spread and over/under courtesy of, home team in CAPS.

Point Spread: ATLANTA FALCONS (-3.5) over New Orleans Saints

The Dirty Birds completely failed to cover as a road favorite in Week 10, falling 31-27 in NOLA for their first and only loss of the season.

Now they have a chance for redemption in the Georgia Dome, but we like the Saints pulling off the upset once again.

Drew Brees and the New Orleans offense sputtered a bit last week against the vaunted San Francisco 49ers D, but have a much easier matchup this week, especially with the Atlanta secondary banged up.

Cornerback Asante Samuel is reportedly going to be a game-time decision with a shoulder injury, and the other starting CB, Dunta Robinson, is battling an illness.

Should they not be 100 percent by Thursday night, the Saints offense will have plenty of opportunities to steal a win.

Our Pick: Saints +3

Total: Over/Under 56

With an over/under of 53.5 in the first matchup, the Saints and Falcons easily cleared that by combining for 58 points. Vegas took note of the final score and moved the total up to 56 for this one, which is quite a fair number for either side.

If you are the type that likes to go with the public, over 70 percent of the bets are on the over, with a scant 30 percent of bettors believing it will be a lower scoring contest.

We’re bucking the trend and calling this one under, as both teams have had a short week of rest and many of the Thursday night matchups have gone below the set total due to this simple factor.

We like the Saints squeaking out a narrow victory, buckling down on defense and keeping their playoff dreams alive by scratching back to a respectable 6-6 record with four games left to play.

Our Pick: Under 56

Predicted Final Score: Saints 27, Falcons 24
