The Green Bay Packers won’t get any help on their offensive line from tackle Derek Sherrod this season and are bracing for potentially bad news about running back Cedric Benson’s injured foot. On Tuesday, according to the NFL’s transaction wire, the Packers retained Sherrod on the reserve/physically unable to perform list, which means he’s out for the season. They had until early this week to either activate him to the 53-man roster or put him on reserve/PUP for the rest of the season. Also, coach Mike McCarthy said Tuesday that Benson won’t return to practice this week and it sounded ominous when McCarthy said he expects to have more information on Benson’s injured foot on Wednesday...
