Oakland Raiders Draft: The Perfect Scenario to Trade Down?
Everyone says Al Davis never trades down in the first round.
I'm one of those people as well, but I believe it could happen, based on asking for a pirate's booty for trading down for which no team has been willing to pay Davis' price.
I believe if the following players are drafted in the top six, then the perfect scenario will occur for Davis to trade down:
Det: LT Eugene Monroe
St Louis: LT Jason Smith
KC: DT BJ Raji
Sea: DE Brian Orakpo
Cleve: LB Aaron Curry
Cincy: WR Michael Crabtree
Oakland: ?
If Stafford and Sanchez drop, these players could easily slide into the No. 7 pick and the Raiders could be perfect trade partners under this scenario.
Would a team needing a QB be willing to offer a starter, their first round pick, next year's first, and this year's second?
The only high impact player remaining would be DE Everette Brown. If not Brown, then it's either reach time with players like C Mack, DT Peria Jerry, and FS Malcom Jenkins, or trade down.
