Breakout Fantasy Player for Week 13
If Michael Turner decides to launch his rap career, he should go by the name Wile E. Coyote.
Turner overshot his physical cliff two years ago, but he’s somehow managed to avoid plummeting to his fantasy demise by pedaling his feet furiously in a series of one-yard touchdown runs.
The results have been frustrating for Jacquizz Rodgers owners, who have watched Turner continue to get the lion’s share of carries despite being clearly inferior skill-wise to the speedy Quizz.
The tide is turning in Roadrunner’s favor, as Mike Smith seems to finally realize the Falcons’ explosive offense needs a high-octane back to compliment Matty Ice, Julio Jones and the gang.
The two backs got a near-equal carry load last Sunday vs. the Bucs, but the results saw Rodgers almost tripling Turner’s yardage on three fewer carries.
Things shape up extra nice for Rodgers’ owners against the Saints' blitz-happy defense on Thursday.
Find out why Rodgers will reward those who have kept him around all season in this week’s edition of Fantasy Breakout Player.
