The UConn Huskies thwarted the Chattanooga Mocs 103-47 yesterday afternoon, despite being without head coach Jim Calhoun. Calhoun gave his post-game speech from a phone, instead of the locker room.
Calhoun was released from a local Philadelphia hospital and was said to be headed to practice with his Huskies. UConn will face No. 9 Texas A&M tomorrow at 3:35 p.m. at Wachovia Center.
The UNC Tarheels were practically at home as they faced off against the Big South champion Radford Highlanders in Greensboro yesterday afternoon.
