Two of the most disappointing offenses in the NFL face off in Week 13, as the Arizona Cardinals head to the Meadowlands to take on the New York Jets in what should be a defensive battle.
The Cardinals (4-7) started hot, but have been atrocious since their 4-0 start. The injury to Kevin Kolb has been exacerbated by the poor offensive line play that caused it. John Skelton just doesn't have the physical tools to exist behind such poor protection. The defense is fearsome at times, but it hasn't been good enough to win games on its own.
The Jets (4-7), meanwhile, made a huge splash in the offseason with the acquisition of Tim Tebow. But they haven't utilized him much in 2012, and the offense (whether in spite of Tebow or because of his presence) has sputtered. The defense (especially the pass defense) has still been solid—surprisingly enough, without Darrelle Revis.
Rex Ryan and Mike Tannenbaum have heard it all fro the New York media and fans, but a loss to the Cardinals after that terrible Thanksgiving performance could be the straw that breaks some camel's back.
