Paul Pierce missed the potential game-winner at the end of regulation, but he drained a huge three-pointer to give the Boston Celtics a lead in overtime they wouldn't relinquish.

The Celtics held on for a hard-fought 116-110 overtime victory.

The Orlando Magic played well at home, but they had to work too hard to eliminate a 10-point halftime deficit and to force overtime. They simply ran out of gas in the extra period.

Rajon Rondo's air-ball with 22 seconds remaining in overtime gave the Magic a chance to tie the game, but Jameer Nelson's three was off the mark.

The Celtics iced the game at the free-throw line, and they escaped the Amway Center with a win.

Player of the Game: Rajon Rondo

Despite the inexplicable air-ball in overtime, Rondo still nearly recorded a triple-double. He had 15 points, nine rebounds and 16 assists in the game.

It was another great all-around game for the Celtics star.
