We turn to Germany and the Bundesliga for this weekend's edition of the Set Piece Goal of the Weekend.
Bayern Munich defeated Hannover 96 5-0 on Saturday, and Spanish defensive midfielder Javi Martinez scored the Bavarians' first with a memorable overhead kick.
In the third minute, Bayern midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger met a corner with a looping header across the box to the waiting Martinez. With his back to the goal, Martinez timed an overhead kick perfectly and sent a precise shot into the box.
It was Martinez's first goal since joining Bayern in the summer. It sent Jupp Heynckes' team on their way to an easy win that maintained Bayern's nine-point lead atop the Bundesliga table.
For its combination of skill and wow-factor, Martinez's strike is our Set Piece Goal of the Weekend. Video of the goal appears above. Enjoy.
Martinez beat out stiff competition from a couple goals in England.
In the Premier League, Jermain Defoe's solo special helped Tottenham Hotspur to a 3-1 victory over London rivals West Ham United. In the Championship, Nottingham Forest came from behind to beat Wolves 2-1 thanks to Adlene Guedioura's stunning long-distance pile driver.
Afterwards, Martinez expressed excitement over scoring his first goal with Bayern, calling it his "first trophy in Germany." Heynckes added: “He was outstanding today. Javi showed just why we bought him" (via FCBayern.de).
