Jalen Parmele Injury: Updates on Jaguars RB's Groin

Already down one running back, the Jacksonville Jaguars lost backup running back Jalen Parmele to a leg injury during Sunday's game against Tennessee.

UPDATE: Sunday, December 2 at 11:35 a.m. by Matt Fitzgerald

Judging by his omission from the inactive list provided by the Jags' official Twitter, Parmele is ready to roll for Week 13's showdown in Buffalo:

The Bills are 31st in the league against the run. Although Rashad Jennings is going to be competing with Parmele for carries, desperate fantasy owners should consider Parmele a solid, last-minute flex option with such a favorable matchup.

Jalen Parmele will see a specialist next week to determine if he needs to undergo surgery, according to Florida Times-Union's Ryan O'Halloran.

Placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Parmele said in the Jaguars’ locker room Wednesday he sustained a partially torn groin muscle and he will visit a specialist next Wednesday to determine if he needs surgery.

UPDATE: Tuesday, November 27 at 11:05 a.m. ET

Rough news for fantasy owners that used a waiver claim on Jalen Parmele last week as the Week 12 starter is considered questionable for Week 13 after injuring his leg against the Titans, according to Florida Times-Union's Eugene Frenette.

Mularkey heaped praise on running back Jalen Parmele for playing through a groin injury that forced him to leave the game twice and leaves him “questionable” for the Buffalo game.

Good news for the Jaguars, as Parmele has returned to the game, according to Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean

According to Eugene Frenette of the Florida Times-Union, Parmele went to the locker room after suffering an upper leg injury:

Mark Long of the Associated Press is reporting that Parmele is questionable to return to this game, while Chris Wesseling of NBC Sports wrote that Parmele is on the sidelines using the stationery bike:

Parmele has been used sparingly this season—he had just 32 carries and 98 yards coming into Week 12—but was seeing a little more playing time with Maurice Jones-Drew battling a foot injury that has kept him out since October 21.

We will keep you updated on Parmele's status for the rest of this week and moving forward as more information becomes available.
