The Indianapolis Colts host the Buffalo Bills in a significant Week 12 throwdown. The Colts need the win to stay on track for a wild-card berth and the No. 5 seed in the AFC, and the Bills need the win to keep their slim playoff hopes alive.

From a morale standpoint, the Colts want to stay on their emotional high and give coach Chuck Pagano as many wins as possible. From the Bills' standpoint, Chan Gailey knows he is coaching for his job, and the Buffalo players want to prove they have the players to make a run.

While both teams are banged up and have some injuries to key contributors, both teams desperately need the win to keep their seasons in tact.

Here is a quick statistical breakdown of each team.

Player Team Yards Touchdowns Interceptions Completion % Rating
Andrew Luck Colts 2,965 12 12 57.0 77.2
Ryan Fitzpatrick Bills 2,179 17 10 62.5 87.0

Player Team Yards Yards Per Carry Touchdowns
Vick Ballard Colts 386 3.7 0
Donald Brown Colts 368 4.1 1
C.J. Spiller Bills 723 6.6 4
Fred Jackson Bills 298 4.0 3

Player Team Receptions Yards Per Catch Yards Touchdowns
Reggie Wayne Colts 76 13.2 1003 3
Donnie Avery Colts 41 13.5 553 1
Stevie Johnson Bills 47 12.4 581 4
Donald Jones Bills 34 11.5 391 4

Player Team Total Tackles Sacks
Jerrell Freeman Colts 85 1.0
Robert Mathis Colts 20 6.0
Nick Barnett Bills 72 2.0
Mario Williams Bills 30 5.5

Player Team Interceptions Interception Yards
Darius Butler Colts 2 62
Jairus Byrd Bills 4 36

After analyzing the statistics, the two teams are actually pretty evenly matched. The Bills have the superior rusher in C.J. Spiller, but the Colts have the superior wideout in Reggie Wayne.

This battle should be pretty evenly matched, but the game will come down to turnovers and which playmaker has the biggest impact. And it figures to be a toss-up.
