Nebraska brought back Rex Burkhead for the second half against Iowa, and the senior I-back played a part in the Huskers regaining the lead 13-7.

Burkhead scored on a 3-yard run with 3:10 left in the third quarter after NU had come up empty on its first two drives after halftime. The Huskers got in scoring range with the help of a 19-yard pass from Taylor Martinez to Ben Cotton and an 18-yard run by Braylon Heard.
