The new Titan in town? Torry Holt.
Torry Holt was originally drafted No. 6 overall in the 1999 NFL Draft by the St. Louis Rams. The Rams released Holt recently but before he was released, St. Louis tried to trade him. The only team that called—Tennessee.
Tennessee and Holt were almost a match but the Titans asked him if he would renegotiate his current contract. He declined.
He's currently a FA but I believe that he will end up a Titan, because:
1. The Titans have a glaring need at WR.
2. The Titans could use another leader in the locker room and a WR to mentor the younger ones.
3. The Titans will probably draft a WR and Torry Holt would be there to show him the ropes.
Tennessee could be the perfect place for Holt because his hometown is in NC and Tennessee is a few hours away.
Carolina could be another fit but the Panthers don't have the cap room. Holt is searching for another ring and the Titans are a WR short of Super Bowl-caliber.
