Pro wrestling is a big-money enterprise and offers handsome rewards for the precious few who are able to cement their legacies as sports entertainment’s most elite combatants.
Pro wrestling has been used as a launching pad for unrivaled movie careers, and also as a means of extended publicity through advertisements and guest television spots. In fact, some pro wrestlers are not only able to avoid the noted pitfalls that so often consume individuals in this field, they are able to fly past them.
Stone Cold Steve Austin had his heyday back in the Attitude Era, yet continues to rake in the beer money through a budding movie career that has featured a high-profile role in the blockbuster Expendables franchise.
Meanwhile, The Rock has set the standard in life after wrestling, not only becoming one of the most successful pro wrestlers to cross over into acting, but one of the most successful box office stars period.
These two stalwarts of WWE’s second golden age are joined by stars of today who continue to multi-task in the word of professional wrestling and entertainment, including Triple H, The Big Show and John Cena.
