March Madness Begins, Plus Kentucky To Face Creighton Next in NIT

Nate HargisContributor IMarch 19, 2009

Today, March Madness gets underway at 12:20 PM EST with LSU and Butler facing off as a great game to start the tournament. You can chat with me live at justin.tv about all the day's action.

Creighton defeated Bowling Green last night, which means Kentucky will now travel to Omaha next Monday night to take on the Blue Jays in the second round of the NIT. No time has been set as of this morning.

Konnor Tucker apparently has committed to UK. He is a point guard coming out of a junior college and will have three years of eligibility remaining. His commitment will provide depth at the position that has been Kentucky’s Achilles' heel all year long.

I will have recaps all day long of the happenings at the tournament, so check back later for scores and updates.

Have a great day.
