Peyton Manning entered the season as one of the biggest question marks in fantasy football. Owners knew what he brought to the table during his prime, but there was concern when he joined the Denver Broncos after missing an entire season.

One of the most reliable fantasy players of all time quickly established himself as an elite option once again, washing away all those fears within a matter of weeks. Now, he tops the list of quarterbacks who will score the most points this week.

Let's take a closer look at him and a couple other top-notch QBs as owners look to earn a spot in the fantasy playoffs.

It's always interesting to watch Manning work. He doesn't have the arm strength he once did and some of his passes flutter like a bird learning to fly, but the ball almost always ends up where it needs to be. And that's why he's still a fantasy superstar.

He's averaging just under 20 points per week, which ranks fifth among QBs. He's scored at least 14 points in every game but one. And, perhaps most impressively, those numbers have come against tough competition. It gets easier down the stretch.

Manning faces a Kansas City Chiefs defense that has given up 20 passing touchdowns, tied for the third-most in the league. With Willis McGahee sidelined due to injury, the Broncos QB should be throwing early and often on Sunday.

Projection: 24 points

2. Robert Griffin III

Griffin has lived up to the hype, and more, during his rookie season. The Washington Redskins sensation and fantasy breakout star is battling Drew Brees for the most fantasy points among quarterbacks. He's one point behind through 10 games.

The Baylor product showed off all his skills against the division rival Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. He completed 14 of 15 passes for 200 yards and four touchdowns while also rushing for 84 yards—more than a lot of running backs.

Up next for Griffin are the Dallas Cowboys. Over the last three weeks, the Cowboys have allowed Matt Ryan to throw for 342 yards, then allowed two passing TDs in each of the next two games. Griffin will expose the flaws in Dallas' pass defense en route to another big game.

3. Aaron Rodgers

After a slow start, with two disappointing performances in his first three games, Rodgers has bounced back to his usual scoring level. The Green Bay Packers field general has topped 24 points in five of his last seven.

The Packers haven't been able to find a suitable replacement for Cedric Benson since the veteran running back got hurt. That has meant more pressure on Rodgers to make plays, and in turn his fantasy numbers have exploded.

It's a trend that should continue against the New York Giants on Sunday night. The Giants gave up four passing touchdowns to Andy Dalton and the Cincinnati Bengals in their last game. That signals a big game ahead for Rodgers.

Projection: 20 points
