Pro Surfer Gabriel Medina Changes the Game with Sick Backflip

Gabriel Medina just pulled off a flawless backflip maneuver pushing his sport to a whole new level recently.

At least, that's what we assume he did.

A tip of the hat to Big Lead Sports who are just as befuddled as we are as to whether this maneuver is as rare and wonderful as we think it is.

I was shocked to see the move and thought it was something that demanded you see it too, but didn't want to just plaster any old maneuver. After some digging, we come across a report from Surfer Today who are just as flabbergasted at the aerial.

Now, Gabriel Medina has raised the level and simply drew a hole in the sky, as his surfboard was blown up in a clean three-foot left-hander. Second huge backflip landed.

Medina was reached for comment stating, "today, I pulled the most crazy aerial backflip of my entire life. I still don't believe I've completed it."

The Brazilian received inspiration from Flynn Novak and his trademark Flynnstone Flip which you can take a look at here

I encourage anyone who knows a bit more about Medina or how the move revolutionizes the sport to step forward.

By all accounts it seems we have seen something very special, and I look forward to younger surfers using this backflip to accomplish even bigger and better things.
