NFL Pigskin Preview Week 12: Baltimore Ravens at San Diego Chargers

Josh Zerkle@JoshZerkleChief Writer IIINovember 21, 2012

One quarterback in this game is efforting toward elite status, while one continues to side from it.

Baltimore (8-2) hasn't missed a beat, despite heavy losses on defense. The Ravens managed a win over division rival Pittsburgh, a team battling injuries of their own, in Week 11. Baltimore has continually shown that they'll play any type of game that their opponents like, and seem to be able to either grind it out with Ray Rice, or put the ball in the air with quarterback Joe Flacco, who's in the walk year of his contract with the team.

San Diego (4-6) seems to be anything but supercharged of late. They've struggled in all phases of the game, leading to mass speculation regarding the team's future at quarterback, at head coach, or in the front office. Philip Rivers has played poorly, and swapping Vincent Jackson for free agent Robert Meachem hasn't yielded the results for which the offense was hoping.
