Atlanta Falcons at Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Preview & Predictions

While the Atlanta Falcons are still winning, they're making every game an adventure. This weekend's tilt with Tampa Bay should prove to be no different.

Atlanta (9-1) couldn't dodge the proverbial bullet against the Saints in Week 10, but managed to do so against the Cardinals in Week 11. Not even five Matt Ryan interceptions could derail the Falcons' quest for another victory at home, where the Dirty Birds remain undefeated.

Ryan remains the backbone of Atlanta's offense. Prolonged attempts to move the ball on the ground have proven futile to date with this team.

Tampa Bay (6-4) doesn't have that issue. Rookie running back Doug Martin has set the league on fire and propelled his first-year head coach toward a possible playoff berth. The Buccaneers will prove to be a worthy challenge to Atlanta: a run-first team against a squad that can't stop the run. And Tampa Bay is one of those teams—physical, tenacious, with enough skill players to be dangerous—that these same Atlanta Falcons have had trouble knocking out in the playoffs.
