The Oakland Raiders just aren't a very good football team. This isn't surprising, really. 

Or, at least, it shouldn't be if Raiders fans are being honest with themselves.

Reggie McKenzie was brought in to clean up a significant mess, and it was always going to take a while to do it. Yes, Carson Palmer can put up yards and some points, but he is clearly not the quarterback he once was and is not the long-term answer. 

For the Bengals, it seems as though the offense is finally coming together. The emergence of third-round pick Mohamed Sanu seems to be opening things up for Andy Dalton. And Mike Zimmer's defense, while not the most well-known unit on the national stage, is tough and is playing sound, fundamental football.
