The January transfer window is rapidly approaching, and speculation about potential January moves is growing by the day.
Manchester City are always one of the biggest clubs that are active in any transfer window, and this January will be no exception.
With a month left until the transfer window opens, City are on the verge of being knocked out of the Champions League but are in first place in the Premier League after beating Aston Villa this weekend.
Regardless of where they sit in the table when Jan. 1 rolls around, there is no doubt that manager Roberto Mancini will be going after some reinforcements.
Here is the latest news on what Manchester City will be doing in the transfer window.
Over the weekend, speculation swirled around a possible transfer of Luis Suarez to Manchester City from Liverpool.
This Daily Mail report says that Roberto Mancini could be going after Suarez, but he has a steep price tag on him.
Suarez has been one of the best goal scorers in the EPL this season, he has 10 goals in 12 matches, and he would be a welcome addition at the Etihad Stadium.
However, if Suarez were to join City, the defending EPL champions would have to offload one or two players to fund the move.
The same Daily Mail report about Suarez mentions that Mario Balotelli will be the player sold to fund the move for the Uruguay international.
Another suggestion from the press about a potential Balotelli move comes from an article from The Guardian in which they quote an odd source, Patrice Evra of Manchester United, for information on a potential Balotelli move.
It is has not been made public if Balotelli missed the Italian game but Evra sure thinks he does.
This is the exact quote from the United defender: "Mario really misses Italy. I don't know if he will stay in Manchester because he wants to return to his country. I'm not his agent – I am only telling you how he feels."
If there was not enough attention on the controversial forward, there will be plenty of talk about him until the January window closes.
This report from The Sun claims that PSG will be going after Balotelli in January.
If one thing was made clear during the summer, it was that PSG are not afraid to throw out a ton of cash at big names.
Among the big names that joined the Ligue 1 club this summer are Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Thiago Silva, Gregory van der Wiel and Ezequiel Lavezzi.
Daniele De Rossi has been a target of Manchester City ever since Roberto Mancini took charge of the club in 2009.
This report suggests that De Rossi is facing some tough times at the club with new manager Zdenek Zeman, and that could cause a transfer away from the only club he has played for as a professional.
You read that headline right, Manchester City are rumored to be after Italian teenager Domenico Berardi.
Berardi plays for Sassuolo in Serie B and at just 18 years old he has attracted the attention of City and a host of other clubs.
His agent and sporting director at Sassuolo are quoted in the story saying that the interest from Manchester City, Juventus and Roma is for real.
Even if he does sign for City in January, Berardi would not be in the club's immediate future and could face the same ordeal that John Guidetti did last season by being sent out on loan.
