Carolina Panthers vs. Philadelphia Eagles Preview and Predictions

Aaron NaglerNFL National Lead WriterNovember 18, 2012

Not only could this game get ugly, it could quite possibly redefine "ugly."

The Carolina Panthers and Philadelphia Eagles are both teams that may as well pack their bags for the offseason, and a big reason why resides on the sidelines for both teams, albeit in different ways.

For the Panthers, head coach Ron Rivera just doesn't seem to have any semblance of a plan on either side of the ball. Yes, coordinators Rob Chudzinski and Sean McDermott are responsible for their respective sides of the ball, but Rivera seems in over his head as the man in charge of ensuring there is a cohesive attack for both.

As for the Eagles, it can't get much worse after the beatdown they suffered at the hands of the hated division rival Washington Redskins. Andy Reid's group looks listless and lost, and rookie quarterback Nick Foles' first start against the Redskins was less than inspiring.

In the video above we look at the biggest matchups and take a look at both head coaches, as well as give our predictions for the game. Let us know in the comments below where you agree, disagree and which matchups you'll be watching.
