With LSU trailing Ole Miss while trying to keep itself relevant in the national championship picture, they lost star quarterback Zach Mettenberg for at least a play due to injury.
UPDATE: Saturday, Nov. 17 at 7:08 p.m. ET by Richard Langford
With the score knotted at 35, LSU tweeted out this far more positive update.
3 and out for Ole Miss. LSU takes over at the Tiger 33. Mettenberger back at QB. 7:53 left. #LSURoar— LSU Football (@LSUfball) November 18, 2012
So get ready for a big finish.
---end of update---
LSU tweeted out the news.
Mettenberger was shaken up on the play, so Stephen Rivers will line up at QB on 3rd and 5. #LSURoar— LSU Football (@LSUfball) November 17, 2012
As I type, the Tigers are trailing Ole Miss 35-28 in the fourth. After two outstanding weeks, Mettenberger was not playing his best football. He has 230 yards passing, but he has two interceptions and no touchdowns.
