Florida scored on their opening drive of a game for just the second time all season and scored twice in the first quarter for the first time in 2012. After starting hot, the offense cooled off considerably, but the defense was able to not only secure their second shutout of the season but score a touchdown as well. Jon Bostic intercepted a pass and took it seven yards for Florida's second touchdown of the day.
In what was their last home game, Florida's seniors accounted for all 23 points today. Mike Gillislee and Jon Bostic scored touchdowns and Caleb Sturgis accounted for the other nine points on three field goals.

Brissett takes a knee and the 2012 Florida Gators become just the third team in school history to finish 7-0 at home.
With 31 seconds left in the game the defense will turn in their second shutout of the season.
Florida's offense isn't able to run the clock out and will punt the ball back to Jacksonville State.
If Florida plays like this offensively next week they will get shut out in Tallahassee.

Florida was called offsides on the punt and it will result in a first down for JSU.
The penalty gives the Gamecocks their first first down of the half.

That's five straight three-and-outs for the Florida defense.

Florida's offense stalls again, which is about what you can expect from them today.
Sturgis hits another field goal and is now just one field goal shy of tying the all-time record for Florida.
Florida's defense forces their third straight three-and-out of the second half.
Marcus Roberson returns the punt across midfield on what is Florida's best punt return of the season.

Florida runs a screen on third down but come up short again.
Caleb Sturgis connects on his 19th field goal of the season and extends Florida's lead to 20.
That's another three-and-out for the Gators defense. Jonathan Bullard got pressure on the quarterback and forced a rushed pass.
Florida will start their drive around their own 40. The offense has to move the ball and get points on the board on this drive.

Jacoby Brissett is looking hesitant in the pocket. He didn't see another wide open receiver on second down and Gillislee was stuffed on third down.
Christy's line drive punt is downed inside the 10 by Loucheiz Purifoy. Purifoy has the most impressive catch of the day off of that punt.
Mike Gillislee carries the ball for a first down and gets over the 100 yard mark for the day. The first time he has run for 100 yards since Florida beat LSU on October, 6.
Florida went after the punt but came up just short.

After watching Florida's last third down play again, Brissett had two wide receivers wide open on the play but he didn't see them. The pass protection didn't give him a lot of time to work with but that play could have easily gone for a touchdown.
After a good kickoff return and a first down run from Mike Gillislee, Florida's drive stalls and Kyle Christy is on to punt.
Christy's punt is downed at the JSU 4. A holding penalty moves the ball back to the two.

As we mentioned before, Mike Gillislee is creeping closer to the 1,000 yard mark on the season. Gillislee is just 77 yards short of reaching the milestone and would become the first 1,000 yard rusher at Florida since Ciatrick Fason in 2004.

JSU lined up with their offense on the field and pooched a punt. Florida will get the ball at their 40 with 14 seconds left on the clock. Florida has all three timeouts and should try to get some points on the board before halftime.
