Pressure will be cranked to the maximum this Saturday as the 2012 college football season heads down the stretch run.

With BCS title hopes on the line, here are four of the most anticipated contests of Week 12.

Stanford at Oregon

When: Saturday, Nov. 17 at 8 p.m. ET

Where: Autzen Stadium, Eugene, Ore.

Watch: ABC

The biggest and most anticipated matchup of the day belongs to Oregon and Stanford.

Many people expected Stanford to take a giant step back after losing all-world quarterback Andrew Luck to the NFL.

Instead, the Cardinal have played to an 8-2 record, with their only two losses coming on the road against BCS top-25 teams.

Oregon will be playing their toughest opponent this season, but they will have the luxury of hosting the event. The Ducks have been "slighted" all season long, depending on who you talk to, but this is easily their biggest chance to make a move this season.

Stanford's defense is ranked 12th in the country in points allowed, holding offenses to 17.2 points per game. Oregon's offense is leading the country in points per game with 54.8.

Saturday will be your classic offense vs. defense battle in Eugene.

Kansas State at Baylor

When: Saturday, Nov. 17 at 8 p.m. ET

Where: Floyd Casey Stadium, Waco, Tex.

Watch: ESPN

Kansas State is in a difficult position this week as they travel to Waco to play Baylor. With Oregon playing No. 13 Stanford, the Wildcats will need to rout the Bears to put themselves in position for the No. 1 spot when the rankings come out on Sunday.

A sloppy three-point victory to accompany a win by Oregon will all but likely strip the Wildcats of the No. 1 spot.

Once that happens, all bets are off, as Notre Dame travels to USC at the end of the season to finish their possibly undefeated campaign.

Wake Forest at Notre Dame

When: Saturday, Nov. 17 at 3:30 p.m. ET

Where: Notre Dame Stadium, Notre Dame, Ind.

Watch: NBC

Notre Dame has had their eyes on an undefeated season ever since they went to Norman and defeated Oklahoma. Since that game, the Fighting Irish have played two teams (Pittsburgh and Boston College) who were average or worse.

Week 12 will bring another average team in Wake Forest.

The Fighting Irish have struggled at home this season, but have squeaked out victory after victory. This should have blowout written all over it, but judging by their last performance against Pittsburgh, this game could be a lot closer than expected.

When: Saturday, Nov. 17 at 3:05 p.m. ET

Where: Rose Bowl, Pasadena, Cal.

Watch: FOX

Two solid college football teams will meet in PAC-12 action on Saturday in a classic rivalry. Aside from the conference rivalry, there is one other major storyline to watch.

Notre Dame and Oregon will be rooting for USC to win at UCLA to make their victory (Oregon) or their possible victory (Notre Dame) look better.

A loss by USC will certainly make their victory or potential victory less important. All eyes will be in Pasadena, for one reason or another.
