Some More Details of Riggins' Life to Pique Your Interest
Riggins' NFL career was one worthy of enshrinement.
He rushed for 11,352 yards and 101 touchdowns and caught 250 passes for 2,090 yards and 12 touchdowns during his 14-year career.
He was also known as a party animal—a label he happily earned. Unfortunately, his party-animal lifestyle came back to bite him when he was arrested for driving while intoxicated in 1992 (h/t New York Times).
Riggins wasn't just a brute athlete, though. He was an actor since his days at Centralia High, and he made it to the big time with appearances in Guiding Light, Law and Order: Criminal Intent and One Tree Hill (h/t LJWorld.com).
