Sometimes the buckets never come, like, ever.

On one end of the court, the baskets were raining down with ease. On the other, a high school team was suffering the worst drought we have ever heard of.

Today's THV reports (SportsGrid) one Arkansas high school girl's basketball team was completely shut out, leading to more questions than answers.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Hall High School girls' basketball team put up 88 points on LR Fair High School girls basketball team in the season opener.

Boom, that's how the reports starts.

So far, nothing terribly out of the ordinary. Sure, it's a pretty high score considering the usual consistency issues of prep sports, but nothing to write home about.

The Lady Warriors opened the season against Little Rock Fair and the final was epic. Hall won the game 88-0. That's not a misprint, they won the game 88-0.

Time to write home.

There wan't a random layup, banked shot that went into the bucket out of sheer luck or free throw that bounced home.

Zero. One team left the floor with the ultimate in humbling endeavors. While the heart weighs heavy the mind begins to race.

How could one team not even get a chippy from five feet?

You might have some harsh feelings about a Hall team that seemed to run up the score, but you would be mistaken.

Per the report, the score exploded to 28-0 in the first 4 minutes of the game. Their coach was careful to take out the starters shortly after the start of the first half.

Still, the score was an amazing 58-0 at the end of that half.

Despite taking the foot off the gas, the car kept careening down the hill and into some ridiculous ends.

We have to tip our hat to the losing team here and say things will get better. Hell, Kwame Brown made quite the career out of not scoring.
