Sometimes real life transcends sports in an all-too negative way, and unfortunately, that's what has happened with Texas A&M freshman wide receiver Thomas Linze Johnson.

Great news as Texas A&M WR Thomas Johnson was reportedly found, according to ESPN's Staff.
A police department spokesperson told ESPN.com Thursday morning that further information was forthcoming, but confirmed that Johnson was safe.

As this sad situation unfolds, KHOU 11 Sports' Daniel Gotera provides words from Johnson's mother Linda Hanks, stating "I know God is in it. And if he’s in it, it’s going to be OK. But that doesn’t stop me from crying, doesn’t stop me from wondering and doesn’t help me sleep.”
Also, aggieathletics.com's news release provides a statement from head football coach Kevin Sumlin:
All of us are obviously very concerned about the safety and well-being of Thomas Johnson, who has been missing since Monday evening. Authorities are working closely with his family, friends and law enforcement agencies to help locate him. Thomas is a tremendous student-athlete, greatly admired by his fellow teammates and all of us on the coaching staff. If anyone has any current information about him or knows of his whereabouts, please contact his family or law enforcement authorities immediately. We pray for his quick and safe return.

According to the Texas A&M University Police Department (via kbtx.com), the young football player hasn't been seen since Monday night:
The Texas A&M University Police Department is currently seeking assistance in locating a missing Texas A&M student, Thomas Linze Johnson. Johnson is described as a black male, 18 years of age, 5’11,” 180 lbs., black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen leaving his residence in College Station on Nov. 12 at approximately 5 p.m., wearing a black jacket, black shorts and grey shoes. He was also in possession of a set of “Dr. Dre Beats” brand headphones.
This is obviously a worrisome situation, and while there are many unknown circumstances surrounding the story, making sure Johnson is safe is without a doubt priority No. 1.
In order to swiftly make sure that happens, word must be spread as fast as possible so that anyone who has seen Johnson can let the proper authorities know about his whereabouts.
It's times like these when we should feel fortunate to have the internet and social media. Not only does the above link have a phone number to contact with any helpful information, but it also has buttons to share the page via Facebook, Twitter, etc.
Because of those useful resources, important information can be spread and hopefully it will help lead to finding Johnson in a quick manner.
