UFC welterweight Karo Parisyan last fought at UFC 94, where he defeated Dong Hyun Kim via split decision. After the fight, Parisyan tested positive for three banned substances: oxymorphone, hydromorphone, and hydrocodone.

Earlier today, the Nevada State Athletic Commission unanimously voted to suspend Parisyan from competition for a period of nine months and also fined him $32,000.

In addition, the result of his UFC 94 victory will now be overturned from a split decision to a “No Decision.”

All three banned substances are painkillers that Parisyan was prescribed by a doctor. However, Karo failed to reveal his medications to the NSAC prior to his bout with Kim as is required by commission rules.
