(10) Michigan vs. (7) Clemson

Michigan lost to Illinois 60-50 in the Big Ten tourney and goes into the NCAA South bracket with a 20-13 record on the year. The Wolverines finished in a tie for seventh place in the Big Ten regular season standings. The Wolverines are fuelled by 6’8” junior forward DeShawn Sims and sophomore guard Manny Harris. Michigan finished the Big Ten schedule ranked third in conference scoring and 10th in team defense. 

 

Clemson fell to Georgia Tech 81-86 in the ACC tournament and finished the regular season in a tie for fifth place in the conference. The Tigers finished the regular season with the ACC’s third-rated offense and fourth-rated defense. Junior forward Trevor Booker averages nearly a double-double for the Tigers with 15.3 points per game and 9.7 boards a contest.
