Tuesday Morning Philosophy: The Question Each NFL Team Is Being Asked This Week

0 of 8

With the beginning of a new week in the NFL, each team faces new challenges and goals that must be overcome and met. Whether those goals and challenges are for this week or the remainder of the season, each team has something they are focused towards.

With that in mind, we look at the biggest question each team is facing this week in trying to reach its goals.

AFC East

1 of 8

New England Patriots: 31 points to Buffalo? How ready is the Patriots defense for its first opponent in a month with a winning record?

Miami Dolphins: At 4-5, the Dolphins are not out of the playoff hunt. Can they refocus after the 37-3 beatdown they suffered at the hands of the Titans and make a run?

New York Jets: Mark Sanchez's quarterback rating has gone down each of the last four games. Is this the bottom, Mark? For the love of Tebow, please tell me this is the bottom.

Buffalo Bills: The Bills are hanging around in games with good teams; can they breakthrough on a short week and end the losing streak?

AFC North

2 of 8

Baltimore Ravens: Is there any doubt the Ravens will win the North, now that the Steelers are without Big Ben?

Pittsburgh Steelers: Can the Steelers win enough games without Roethlisberger to stay in the playoff race?

Cincinnati Bengals: The Bengals play their next five games against teams with losing records; can they ride the dismantling of the Giants into a playoff run?

Cleveland Browns: Is there a scenario at this point where Pat Shurmur keeps his job?

AFC South

3 of 8

Houston Texans: Houston has yet to allow a touchdown since their bye week. Any chance Jacksonville even finds the red zone?

Indianapolis Colts: Would a win in New England this week wrap up Rookie of the year honors for Andrew Luck?

Tennessee Titans: If Bud Adams puts the team on notice every week, are they capable of making the playoffs?

Jacksonville Jaguars: If you can't win at home on a Thursday night, when can you?

AFC West

4 of 8

Denver Broncos: Is it possible the Denver defense is as good as their offense?

San Diego Chargers: Is Norv just setting us up for another December rally?

Oakland Raiders: How do you cut a player that has started the entire season for you thus far? That can't be a good sign.

Kansas City Chiefs: What size jersey does Geno Smith wear? Might as well start stitching one up for him.

NFC East

5 of 8

New York Giants: Will a week of not throwing help revive Eli's arm?

Dallas Cowboys: With the Giants struggling and only one team with a winning record left on their schedule, can the Cowboys turn things around and make a run at the playoffs?

Philadelphia Eagles: Can Nick Foles save Andy Reid's job?

Washington Redskins: Will Shanahan prove he deserves to have his job back next season?

NFC North

6 of 8

Chicago Bears: Can the Bears offense produce any points with Jason Campbell running the show?

Green Bay Packers: Will the Packers be able to overcome the mountain of injuries and make a playoff run?

Minnesota Vikings: Could Peterson win MVP and comeback player in the same year?

Detroit Lions: The Lions have a winning record outside the division, now can they find some wins inside the division?

NFC South

7 of 8

Atlanta Falcons: How will the Falcons bounce back from their first sign of adversity?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Can Josh Freeman keep this hot streak going against division opponents?

New Orleans Saints: Can the Saints muster up enough defense to give the team a shot at the playoffs?

Carolina Panthers: Do you think the Panthers will remember during the offseason that Cam doesn't play defense?

NFC West

8 of 8

San Francisco 49ers: Is Colin Kaepernick the better choice to begin with?

Seattle Seahawks: Is it possible the Seahawks will go undefeated at home and miss the playoffs?

Arizona Cardinals: Remember when Arizona was 4-0? That was cute.

St. Louis Rams: Is there a better core of young players anywhere else in the league?
