Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers: Preview and Predictions
Both of the more recent heavyweights in the AFC North have battled injuries this season. If only the NFL would let these teams play the game on crutches.
Baltimore (7-2) lost its free-agent cornerback, Lardarius Webb, in the same week as it lost future Hall of Fame linebacker Ray Lewis. Both players are out for the season, but the Ravens managed to win their last two games without them: first edging Cleveland in a nail-biter and then a blowout against the hapless Oakland Raiders. Even with Denver and Indianapolis making their push for the playoffs, the Ravens are reminding everyone that they're still second in the pack.
Pittsburgh (5-3) rediscovered its pass rush against another division foe—Cincinnati—in a win that helped turn around its season. After losing three of their first five, the Steelers have won three straight. As the Ravens seemed to have copied the Steelers' model of offense, Ben Roethlisberger's deep passing game is still complimenting the power running game regardless of which running back lines up behind him.
