Fan of the Week: The Street-Wise Cubs Fan

If Ron Artest’s music career has taught the sports world one thing, it’s that purposely misspelling words ratchets up the badass ratio by an estimated 25-30 percent.  Why spell it “True Warrior” when you can make it so much more street by spelling it “Tru Warier”?

Don’t think for a second that just because Artest is a basketball player by trade that his message is lost on fans of other sports. Quite the contrary. Crapping on the English language is a universal way to not only demonstrate the fact that you’re anti-establishment, but also to announce your fandom without sacrificing the attitude.

Throw a "z" in place of an "s" and bang, just like that you’re a little bit more gangsta than you would have been if you would have let your third grade English teacher call the shots.

Sure, this Fan of the Week may look sweet and innocent, but if you look up the back of her jersey in a Hip-to-Normal dictionary, it reads: “I’m not afraid to charge someone in the stands and kick the crap out of them if they throw popcorn at me.”

yikes1

Just try her, punk.
