Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Quincy Black had to be carted off the field during Sunday's matchup with the San Diego Chargers after a scary collision with Chargers running back Ryan Mathews according to NBC Sports Pro Football Talk's Josh Alper.
According to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' official Twitter account, Black showed positive signs on his way off the field:
Quincy Black has been taken off the field on a stretcher & cart, but he waved to the crowd and gave a thumbs up several times along the way.— Tampa Bay Buccaneers (@TBBuccaneers) November 11, 2012
Black had recorded six tackles, including two for a loss, before leaving the game.
A sixth-year player out of New Mexico, Black has only missed eight regular-season games for the Buccaneers since he was drafted in the third round back in 2007. The 28-year-old has five forced fumbles, 3.5 sacks and three interceptions since entering the league.
