After going to the locker room for x-rays, Hixon has returned to the field, but his return to the game is questionable and the TV reports have said the x-rays are negative, according to ESPN New York’s Ohm Youngmisuk:

Hixon is back on sideline. Not holding his helmet though.

While this is not good news for the depth at wide receiver for the Giants, Hixon hasn’t played a huge role in the team’s offense since veteran Hakeem Nicks returned to the lineup. After his six catches for 114 yards against Philadelphia, Hixon has just 15 catches in five games.

The biggest issue here for New York is the problems it has had with Nicks’ knee this season and the security blanket Hixon provided. Now, with no viable backup option beyond Rueben Randle, this could be a huge blow to the Giants.
