ALLEN PARK -- Detroit Lions receiver Calvin Johnson has maintained since October 11 he previously played through a concussion against the Minnesota Vikings. Yesterday, Johnson revealed he had been battling nerve damage as a side effect of that concussion. Today, the Detroit Lions issued a press release to counter Johnson's previous statements.
