Twins Notes: Garza's Good Start Not Enough

Marty AndradeSenior Writer IJuly 17, 2007

Twins pitcher Matt Garza had three strikouts and allowed only 3 hits in seven innings today and still earned a loss thanks to a Jason Bartlett error.  Garza has yet to give up an earned run in his two starts so far this year.

The Twins offense was anemic, the big four for the Twins, Cuddyer, Mauer, Morneau and Hunter combined for just one hit and one walk in 14 collective plate appearances and the group left 5 on base.  Nate Robertson is not a good pitcher but for some reason the Twins struggle against mediocre left handers.

Twins lose 0-1
