WrestleMania XXV Matches

Rumor has it that there has been some talk about making the Triple H vs. Randy Orton match at WrestleMania XXV a no disqualification bout. The announcement could be made as early as tonight's Raw.

Wow, really? It's not like we didn't see that one coming a mile away. What is it going to take to get some unpredictability and suspense back into the WWE?

25 Diva Battle Royal

Former WWE Diva Ashley Massaro will not be participating in the 25 Diva Battle Royal.

On her new MySpace blog, Ashley wrote, "Another thing I'd like to touch on quickly is WrestleMania. I know many of you are asking if I will be attending and participating in the 25 Diva Battle Royale and the answer unfortunately is no." Massaro went on to say, "I so so so wish I could be [but] it's conflicting right now."

No Ms. Wrestlemania for this former diva. I dare say they are running a slight bit low on divas and talent.

The United States Championship

The United States Championship won't be defended at the WrestleMania XXV as Shelton Benjamin is part of the Money in the Bank Ladder Match.

Women's and Diva's Championship

Women's champion Melina and Diva's champion Maryse will be part of the 25 Diva Battle Royal, so you can scratch those two titles off the list as well.

Well so much for a women's title unification match.

Possible Third Title Match

A possible third Wrestlemania XXV title match is rumored to be Carlito and Primo Colon facing The Miz and Morrison with both titles on the line. This is kind of a tag team title unification match.

The other possibility might have Jack Swagger defending the ECW Championship at WrestleMania XXV.

Miscellaneous Wrestlemania XXV News

WWE has announced that The National Guard is now an official sponsor of WrestleMania XXV.

5,000 tickets remain for Wrestlemania XXV in Houston, not including additional ones that will likely be released after production moves in. The event is expected to be full one way or another. As far as the Hall of Fame ceremony is concerned, a few hundred tickets remain for the event.

MVP vs. Shelton Benjamin for the WWE United States Championship was booked for one of the Friday Night SmackDown tapings this coming Tuesday night in Corpus Christi, Tx.

It's possible WWE will be doing a title change here. Both MVP and Benjamin are in the Money in the Bank match at WrestleMania this year.

Wrestler News

John Cena's song "Bad Bad Man" is featured in a television commercial for the new movie "Observe & Report."

There are strong rumors that JBL's promised "historic event" will be that he will retire in the ring as champion, which is something that has never been done at a Wrestlemania before.

Once again very predictable, as I saw that coming. However, to be honest with you, I would not be the least bit surprised if we see JBL named GM of Raw.

There are circulating reports around Orton's Legacy group where there is a very good chance that the end of the group will occur at this year's Backlash pay-per-view. I will keep you updated on this as news unfolds.

Injury Update

Rey Mysterio, Jr.'s knee is apparently fine after injuring it at a house show last week. Mysterio only tweaked it. It looks like Rey will make it to this year's Wrestlemania.
