Will We Finally See What Taiwan Jones Can Do?
We have not seen much from the second-year running back out of Eastern Washington. We have only seen Taiwan Jones on special teams and a rare sighting in the backfield for the Raiders. With McFadden out, there is a chance that Jones can earn the start in Week 10 as Marcel Reece is more affective in the passing-game.
According to CBS Sports, quarterback Carson Palmer "Can't wait" for Jones to get his chance this Sunday because "He is so electrifying." Palmer has seen enough from Jones during practice to know that he can make an impact against the Ravens.
Jones has just six total yards entering Week 10 and all of them came last Sunday. This can all change this week as Jones, like Reece, also has a great opportunity to step in place of McFadden.
Luckily for Jones, the Ravens have struggled to stop opposing running backs giving up just over 139 yards per-game.
During Jones' college career at Eastern Washington, he rushed for a total of 2,955 yards with 29 touchdowns. He also 64 passes for 903 yards and seven touchdowns. This impressive production took place in the 2009 and 2010 seasons.
Can Jones fill in for for McFadden and make a name for himself? Raider fans sure hope so.
