The Program: Can Florida State, Kansas State and Alabama Stop Upset Bids?

We're back this week with your Top 25 Upset Alert and we've got some big names to put on watch this weekend.

Things kick off in Blacksburg, a place that everyone will tell you is tough to play, especially on Thursday night. Look, I've been to Lane Stadium on a cold, windy Thursday night and it was no picnic. Hokies fans show up big time for their team.

However, this is not an ACC Championship contending Virginia Tech squad, so Florida State walks in as the favorite. We'll see if they can walk out with the win. After watching Frank Beamer's squad get dismantled by Clemson and Miami in back-to-back weeks, can the Hokies come together and claw out a win?

As we get into the weekend, the next team up is Kansas State. Last week the Wildcats defense helped them put away Oklahoma State. This week they have to deal with Collin Klein possibly being out against TCU, on the road. Daniel Sams can certainly run, but he's never had to throw the ball in order to win, which could be a problem. In a battle between guys who started the season as backups, does TCU have the edge in Fort Worth? Will Klein play and make the big difference for the Wildcats?

That brings us to Alabama. This weekend the Tide host Texas A&M and the fighting Johnny Footballs. This is the game that most folks have pinned their "Alabama's gonna lose" hopes to. While some folks are optimistic, don't count me in that bunch.
