The Fighting Irish limped to victory against Pittsburgh and now they take on the second of three straight less-than-stellar opponents. This time, the Irish are headed up to Chestnut Hill to take on the 2-7 Boston College Eagles.
BC is a team that has been in disarray for much of the season, with coach Frank Spaziani likely out of a job come season's end. For Notre Dame, this game has to be about taking care of business in every sense of the word. Pittsburgh came out and jumped on the Irish early, forcing Notre Dame to scrap their way to victory.
For much of the season Brian Kelly's team has been in dogfights. Sure, there were a couple of big scores put up, most notably against Oklahoma, but for the most part the games have been nail-biters for the Irish. This weekend needs to be more like Miami and Navy and a lot less like Stanford, Pitt or BYU.
So, what do the Irish have to do to take care of business? Adam Kramer and I talk about this ballgame, one that Notre Dame needs to win handily to help quiet the folks bashing the Irish.
