CM Punk's reign as WWE champion may be coming to an end. Check out the triple threat match the champ will be in at the upcoming Survivor Series pay-per-view in just two weeks.

The WWE tweeted out the news.

The #SurvivorSeries programs just got re-ordered! It's now WWE Champion @cmpunk vs. @ryback22 vs. @johncena for the title in 13 days!!

Cena has had some payback to dish to Punk since he took the title from him in 2011, and that payback has been on a long pause.

The two had a draw at Night of Champions and have not met since—Cena underwent surgery shortly after. There is also the little fact that Cena and Ryback don't have any issues with each other at the moment.

In other words, the storyline is set up for them to focus in on making sure that Punk does not leave the PPV with the title.

Besides his opponents for this match, the writing on the wall can be seen in the way it was setup.

Vince McMahon mandated this match himself after he felt that a Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team Match was an easy way out for Punk.

In no way do I expect Punk to give up his title easily. He is oh so close to holding onto it for a year, and the company has gone to great lengths to turn him into one of their all-time great champions. Having two guys rough him up while he works solo seems like the perfect way for the company to bring his title reign to an end.

I'm looking forward to this match, and I'm fairly confident it will result in a new champ.
