The Golden State Warriors almost pulled off an improbable victory against the Sacramento Kings on Monday night, but the Kings held on for a 94-92 victory.

The Kings had an 11-point lead with 4:11 remaining in the game, but the Warriors were able to earn a final shot to win it. Point guard Stephen Curry missed the potential game-winner from way downtown.

DeMarcus Cousins finished with 23 points, 15 rebounds, two blocks and two steals. Marcus Thornton posted 16 points for the Kings.

The Warriors jumped out to a 22-21 lead after one quarter of action, but the Kings made a comeback in the second quarter, outscoring the Warriors, 31-22.

Helping the Kings' cause on the night was the mediocre shooting of the Warriors throughout the game (39.7 percent). That included Curry, who had his third poor shooting night (3-of-15) in four games since signing a four-year, $44 million extension (via ESPN).

Shooting guard Klay Thompson finished with 22 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals for the losers.
